Flora Shady, 74, of Lavallette, N.J., died Saturday, June 6, 1998, in the Community Medical Center, Toms River, N.J. Mrs. Shady was a graduate of Canonsburg High School and retired 12 years ago as the tax collector for the borough of Lavallette, a position she had held for 12 years. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Roman Catholic Church, Lavallette, and a member of the New Jersey Association of Tax Collectors and Treasurers. Surviving are her husband, Phillip Shady; two sons, Joseph Shady of Toms River and Phillip Shady of Wrightstown; a daughter, Kathryn Shady of Lavallette; a brother, Dr. Gaetano Castillenti of Clairton; a sister, Antonette Daniels of Lavallette; and three grandchildren, Rebecca, Paul and Bethany Shady.
