Stanley "Whitey" Malinky, 77, of Avella, died at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 1998, at the Adamson Farm in Rea, where he enjoyed helping with farm work the past 15 years. Mr. Malinky worked 30 years for the Rielly Brothers Chevy-Cadillac dealership in Steubenville, Ohio, as body shop foreman, retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Avella, the Polar Star Mutual Benefit Society, SNPJ Lodge 292, Avella VFD Retired, American Legion Bert C. Siders Post 643 and Avella Sportsman's Association, all of Avella, and the Elks of Washington. On January 1, 1943, he married Betty C. Beadling, who died August 17, 1989. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Wisniewski of Excelsior, Minn.; a son, Stan Malinky of Fair Oaks, Calif.; a granddaughter, Aleta Wisniewski; a brother, Thomas Malinky of Avella; four sisters, Frances Doman and Kate Porfeli, both of Washington, and Blanch Deco and Marcella Sophie Kleinotas, both of Avella. He was born September 22, 1920, in Avella, where he lived all his life, a son of Louis and Catherine Pencek Malinky.
