Lehman Grant Butcher, 78, of Loxahatchee, Fla., died at 10 p.m. Friday, March 6, 1998, at the residence of his son following a lengthy illness. Mr. Butcher was a resident of Waynesburg for 46 years, where he was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was a retired welder from the Army Corps of Engineers. His first wife, Lucille McPherson, died in 1965, and his second wife, Sarah Hartley Butcher, died May 23, 1996. Surviving are three sons, Dale Butcher of Loxahatchee, Wendell Butcher of Windham, N.H., and David Butcher of Cleveland, Ohio; one daughter, Linda Trasport of Merritt Island, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Pam Streb of Sugar Land, Texas, and Cindy Dean of Erie; two sisters, Beulah Weaver of Weston and Geraldine "Deanie" Zellers of Pickens, S.C.; and nine grandchildren.
