Christopher "Bucky" Cunningham, 7, of Vance Drive, Avella, died Monday, March 9, 1998, in Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh. Christopher was a first-grade student at Avella Elementary School, where he was a member of the Avella Tygers baseball team, the Avella Bulls soccer team, was also a Tiger Scout and enjoyed bowling. He was a member of Cross Creek Presbyterian Church. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are three brothers, Geremy, Joshua and Jonathan Cunningham, all at home; a sister, Valerie Cunningham, at home; paternal grandparents, Walter "Red" and Bonnie Cunningham of Ruffsdale R.D.3; maternal grandparents, Richard and Rosalind Ashmun of Mt. Pleasant R.D.5; a maternal great-grandmother, Mary Ashmun of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
