Richard A. McCreanor, 69, of Rea, died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 1998, at his home following a lengthy illness. Mr. McCreanor served in the U.S. Navy, and was a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Prior to owning his own company, Donart Electronics of McDonald, he was employed by J&L Research. In recent years, he enjoyed teaching computer programming to the gifted children of Avella High School. On July 23, 1977, he married Charlotte Louise Young, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Margaret "Peggy" McCreanor of Prescott, Ariz., Trudy McCreanor and Wendy Carrott, both of Grand Junction, Colo.; two sons, Richard and Phillip McCreanor, both of Grand Junction, Colo.; six grandchildren; and a sister, Jean McCreanor of Miami, Fla. Deceased is a son, Keith McCreanor, who died in infancy. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
