John D. Hoag, 65, of Primrose, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998, in the Greenery Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg. Mr. Hoag was a member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church of McDonald and was employed as a mill wright at LTV Steel's Aliquippa Works. He was a member of the Midway VFW, the Midway SNPJ and the United Steel Workers of America. Mr. Hoag was a 1951 graduate of St. Luke's High School in Carnegie and served in the military during the Korean War. On June 1, 1953, he married Dolores Vincenti Hoag, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, David and Dale Hoag of McDonald; a daughter, Diane Springer of Primrose; two sisters, Bernice Happner of Bethel Park and Hilda Duval of Ohio; six grandchildren, Paul and Joe Snatchko, Melanie Hoag, Kristy Springer, and Bryan and Eric Hoag. Deceased are two brothers, James and Edward Hoag; and three sisters, Regina Knotek, Dorothy Adams and Lillian Cascio.
