George A. Sepelak, 84, of McMurray, died Tuesday, March 10, 1998, in his home. Mr. Sepelak was a lifelong Canonsburg area resident and a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church of Canonsburg, where he was secretary of Lodge 699, the Greek Catholic Union, for more than 50 years. He was a member and past president of AARP 1870 of Peters Township. Prior to his retirement in 1978, Mr. Sepelak was employed by Forbes Steel as a machinist. He was a member and past president of the United Steel Workers Union. On June 21, 1947, in St. Genevieve Church in Canonsburg, he married Sophie Zepko, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, George Sepelak of Greensburg, Dennis and Brian Sepelak, both of Coraopolis and James Sepelak of Bellefontaine, Ohio; a daughter, Kathleen Sepelak of New York City; a sister, Mary Cuprik of Cleveland, Ohio; five grandchildren, Christoffer, Nicholas, Shannon, David and Derek Sepelak. Deceased are a daughter, Barbara Sepelak, three brothers, Joseph and John Sepelak and Paul Mica; two sisters, Mary Steer and Agnes Sepelak.
