Samuel Stazetski

WW II veteran retired from Corning Glass

Samuel Stazetski, 72, of Richardson Avenue, Bentleyville, died at 11:53 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 1998, in Mon Valley Hospital.

He was born March 11, 1926, in Bentleyville, a son of Samuel and Julia Wojtko Stazetski.

Mr. Stazetski retired from Corning Glass, Charleroi, in 1988, after 45 years of service.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II with the 95th Infantry in Germany.

He was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Monessen, Bentleyville American Legion Post 165, the Independent Club and Eagles, both of Bentleyville.

Surviving are four brothers, Anthony of Donora, Michael of Monessen, and Paul and Joseph, both of Bentleyville; three sisters, Mary Schnupp of Pittsburgh, Helen Stazetski of Bentleyville and Stella Soliani of Monongahela; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is a brother, George Stazetski.
