Russell Emery Carpenter, 39, of Washington, died unexpectedly at 3:58 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 1998, at his home. Mr. Carpenter was an employee of Accutrex Products Inc. and attended Washington Alliance Church. He was a graduate of Avella High School and served in the U.S. Army during peacetime. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his maternal grandmother, Catherine Johnson of Washington; a brother, Charles A. Carpenter of Wolfdale; four sisters, Sharon and Rebecca Carpenter of Pittsburgh, Cynthia Ingram of Washington and Jenny Carpenter of Canonsburg; his stepmother, Betty L. Carpenter of Wolfdale; three stepbrothers, William Moore of Arden, Kevin Moore of Wolfdale and Brian Moore of Baldwin; a stepsister, Linda Burnquist of Muse; and several nieces and nephews.
