Jessie R. Dexter, 90, of McDonald, died Thursday, March 12, 1998, in St. Clair Memorial Hospital, Mt. Lebanon. Mrs. Dexter was a homemaker and a beautician. During World War II, she was a crane operator for American Bridge Co. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Midway and a former member of First Baptist Church, McDonald. In 1924, she married her first husband, Leroy Patterson, who died in 1927. In 1928, she married Thomas West, the marriage lasting until 1953. In 1965, she married Thomas Dexter, who died in 1979. Surviving are four sons, Harold Patterson of Clinton, Tenn., Thomas West Jr. of Pittsburgh, Clarence West of Alvarado, Texas and Richard West of Las Vegas, Nev.; two daughters, Betty L. Boyd and Marion Edmonds, both of McDonald; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son, George A. West; and three grandchildren.
