George "Pookie" Yazevac, 77, of Langeloth, died Thursday, March 12, 1998, in Veterans Medical Center, Pittsburgh. Mr. Yazevac was a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church in Steubenville, Ohio. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Prior to retirement, Mr. Yazevac was employed by All American Co. in Langeloth and the Burgettstown Post Office. Surviving are a brother, Mike Yazevac of Francis Mine; seven sisters, Helen Vujaklya, Anna and Mary Polewac and Sally Wilson, all of Weirton, W.Va., Mildred Levine of Ocean Side, N.Y., Evelyn Bertovich of Langeloth and Jane Yazevac of Long Beach, N.Y. Deceased are three brothers, Alex, Samuel and John Yazevac; and two sisters, Betty Kendrick and Kathryn Morris.
