Jennie Z. Rubis Coleman, 80, of 710 Franklin Avenue, Canonsburg, died at 2:57 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospital-Canonsburg following a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Canonsburg and a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Parish. A devoted mother and grandmother, Mrs. Coleman enjoyed bingo. On April 26, 1948, she married Thomas J. Coleman, who died January 12, 1982. Surviving are two daughters, Beverly "Billie" Cisson of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Gwen Surich of Canonsburg; five grandchildren, Denise Cisson, Darcy McCorkle, Albert Cisson, and Shawn and Chad Surich; four sisters, Julie Bushmire of Washington, and Minnie Toffalo, Blanche McNurlen and Rose Pogoreltz, all of Canonsburg; three brothers, Musdeo "Spider" Rubis, Victor "Buck" Rubis and Rudy Rubis, all of Canonsburg; four stepgrandchildren, Deborah Trunzo, Thomas Surich, Valerie Raskash and Tina Grove; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
