Edward S. Bowlen, 69, of Fairchance, died Saturday, March 14, 1998, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. Mr. Bowlen was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairchance. He was a retired coal miner and a member of Local 6310, Duquesne Light Co. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Dorothy McManus Bowlen; a son, Edward S. Bowlen Jr. of Etters; three daughters, Linda Cole of Eighty Four, Colleen Hearn of Smithfield R.D.3, and Eva Bowlen of Fairchance; seven grandchildren, Robin Cole Jr., Jeremy, Lacie and Logan Cole, Hanna and Samuel Hearn and Claire Bowlen; three sisters, Betty Krichner of Masontown, Mary Lou Micozzi of Akron, Ohio, and Darlene Tabacsko of Masontown R.D.1; and four brothers, Harry Bowlen Jr. and Richard Bowlen, both of Fairchance, Larry Bowlen of Haydentown and Mark Bowlen of Smithfield.
