Louise McCullough, 96, of Pomeroy, Iowa, formerly of Midway, died Friday, March 13, 1998, in Pomeroy Care Center. Mrs. McCullough was a graduate of Midway High School and Muskingum College. She taught French and English in Bentleyville and elementary school in the West Allegheny school district for several years. She also worked as a substitute teacher for the Fort Cherry School District. For approximately 20 years, she was the organist for Midway United Methodist Church and played as an accompanist on organ and piano for many different soloists. She was a member of Center United Presbyterian Church in Midway, where she served on many different committees. She was also a member of the Flora Jamison Mission Circle and the Mariners Group. On June 21, 1924, she married Oren Rex McCullough, who died February 28, 1988. Surviving are a daughter, Nancy L. Bevan of Pomeroy; two grandchildren, Scott Bevan and Suzanne Rotert; and two great-grandchildren. A brother, Kenneth Yolton, is deceased.
