John F. Szupinka, 76, of Vogliano Street, Meadow Lands, died Wednesday, March 18, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospital-Canonsburg. Mr. Szupinka retired in 1983 as a wireman for the former Cooper Power Systems in Canonsburg. He was a member of Holy Trinity PNC Church in Washington and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. His wife, Elizabeth Szafraniec Szupinka, died in 1983. Surviving are two sons, Lyle H. Szupinka of Amity and John R. Szupinka of Cecil; four grandchidlren, Carrie, Amanda, Brian and Christopher Szupinka; and two great-grandchildren.
