Joseph S. Moore, 80, of Route 519, Eighty Four, died Wednesday, March 18, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospitals-Canonsburg. Mr. Moore was a retired foreman for McGraw-Edison Power Systems in Canonsburg and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a veteran of World War II and served with the U.S. Army in the occupation of Japan. On December 21, 1937, he married Evelyn M. Knupp, who died March 26, 1996. Surviving are a son, Robert L. Moore of Avella; three daughters, Gloria Moore of Pasadena, Texas, Beverly Moore, with whom he made his home, and Jonquil McConnell of San Antonio, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Katherine Hall of Aliquippa. He was born November 6, 1917, in Meadow Lands, a son of Robert and Edith Clark Moore.
