Joseph Frank Drwinga, 85, of Eighty Four, died Friday, February 27, 1998, in Country Meadows Nursing Home, Bridgeville. He has resided in Eighty Four for the past five years. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus National Catholic Church in Canonsburg. Mr. Drwinga was a welder and railroad car inspector for Pennsylvania Railroad before retiring in 1958. He had worked as a printer with Elwin G. Smith Printers, Pittsburgh, since his retirement. Surviving are three daughters, Eva Skalyo of Cecil, Helen Drwinga of Tampa, Fla., and Jo Anne Connolly of Chantilly, Va.; a brother, Leon Drwinga of Pittsburgh's South Side section; and five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jonathan and Jeffrey Scalyo and Katie and Jesse Connolly. Deceased are his wife, Anna Krupa Drwinga, who died October 21, 1997; two brothers, Stanley and Antonio Drwinga; and two sisters, Nellie Schmeichowsky and Laura Zbrowsky. He was born January 20, 1913, in McKees Rocks, a son of John and Helen Skarbet Drwinga.
