Dorothy L. Rice, 87, formerly of Cloverdale Avenue, Canonsburg, died Friday, February 27, 1998, in Horizon Senior Care, Canonsburg. Mrs. Rice was a member of Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church and had been active as a Girl Scout leader. On February 3, 1932, she married Charles E. Rice, who died June 10, 1991. Surviving are two daughters, Linda Smith of Canonsburg and Marilyn Toland of Arizona; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lois Amicone of Pittsburgh's North Hills area and Ruth Klose of Pittsburgh's South Hills. Deceased are a son, Donald Rice, who died in infancy; a brother, Percy Mansfield; and two sisters, Ivel Wagner and Alice Benner.
