William Austin Cratty, 88, of North Charleroi, died Friday, March 20, 1998, in his home. Mr. Cratty was retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are two sons, Austin A. Cratty of Rostraver Township and David N. Cratty of Fallowfield Township; three brothers, Glenn Cratty of Michigan, Robert Cratty of North Carolina and Charles Cratty of Arizona; a sister, Laverne Ellsworth of Charleroi; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Deceased are his wife, Katherine Cratty, who died in 1986; a brother, John E. Cratty, who died in 1966; and three sisters, Blanche Hall, Pearl Woodward and Olive Lochmuller.
