Robert Lee McClain, 57, of Avella, died Thursday, March 19, 1998, in Weirton (W.Va.) Medical Center. Mr. McClain had lived in Avella since 1976. He worked for Weirton Steel Corp. for 26 years as a blacksmith before retiring in 1990, and was a member of the Independent Steelworkers Union of Weirton. On June 6, 1962, he married Barbara Rockey, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Anthony T. of Washington and Robert Jr., James and Randy L. McClain, all of Avella; three sisters, Marlene Antonetti of Burgettstown, Darlene Shield of Aliquippa and Donna Yeager of Westerville, Ohio; a brother, Donald McClain of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and three grandchildren. Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a sister, Delores Holloway; and two brothers, Kenneth and Gerald McClain.
