Laura Wassall Mercer, 75, of 168 O'Hara Road, Canonsburg, died Monday, March 23, 1998, in Washington Hospital. Mrs. Mercer was a lifelong resident of the Canonsburg and Washington area. She was a member of Houston Methodist Church, Houston, and worked at Brockway Glass No.7 in Washington for 19 years. Surviving are two daughters, Catherine Crichley and Judith Tetino, both of Canonsburg; a sister, Edith Castelberg of Philadelphia; her twin brother, Elmer Wassall of New Bedford, Mass.; four grandchildren, Steve Tetino, Lisa Newman, Deanna Crichley and Sharon Spadaro; and three great-grandchildren.
