Martin F. Perecko, 87, of Factory Street, Monongahela, died Monday, March 23, 1998, in Mon Valley Hospital emergency room. Mr. Perecko was a lifetime resident of Monongahela and worked as a mechanic for Pennsylvania Railroad Co., retiring in 1970. He was Catholic and a member of Monongahela Slovak Club, Brookland Hunting & Fishing Club in Ulysses, and Mon-Char-Glen Rod and Gun Club. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis George Perecko, with whom he celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary this past July 2; three sons, David M. Perecko of Monongahela, Richard J. Perecko of Greenville, S.C., and Gary L. Perecko of McMurray; a sister, Ethel Walters of Monongahela; and seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Darryl, Leah, Marie, Monica, Megan and Martin James Perecko. Deceased are three brothers, Walter, Julius and Paul "John" Perecko; and two sisters, Anne Yanachick and Mary Pileggi.
