Voyle L. "Bud" Patterson, 76, of Coal Center, died at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 1998, in Washington Hospital. Mr. Patterson retired as a carpenter in 1985, and was a member of Carpenters Local 541 of Washington. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a corporal in the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of the National Rifle Association, California Senior Citizens and the XYZ Club of Grace United Methodist Church, Coal Center. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. On August 20, 1943, he married Mary Ann Cole, who survives and with whom he celebrated their 54th anniversary. Also surviving are two sisters, Grace E. Burnette of Nemacolin and Sarah A. Bane of Fredericktown; a brother, Charles C. Patterson Jr. of Centerville Borough; and many nieces and nephews.
