Mildred Pollock Titus, 84, of Tempe, Ariz., died Wednesday, March 25, 1998, in Phoenix, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Titus was a graduate of Waynesburg College and Pennsylvania State University, and taught elementary school in Mather and Vestaburg. Following her retirement in 1974, she moved to Arizona where she was a member of the Glass and Garden Community Church in Scottsdale. She was a member of the Pennsylvania State and National Education Associations and Greene County Retired Teachers Association. On January 20, 1935, she married Charles S. Titus, who died December 15, 1994. Surviving are two daughters, Jeanne T. Laflen of Tempe, Ariz., and Lynda Blythe of Whittier, Calif.; three grandchildren, Karen, Scott and Steven Laflen; one great-granddaughter; and a sister, Phyllis Sargent of Pittsburgh.
