Norman L. Ringer Sr., 67, of Canton Township, died at 12:13 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 1998, in his home following a four-month illness. Mr. Ringer was a retired employee of the former Brockway Glass Plant 7 and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a former member of the Greene County Coon Club and he enjoyed hunting. On October 4, 1952, he married Mona Lou Pearson, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Norman "Louie" Ringer Jr., Ricky B., Michael B. and Randy Lee Ringer all of Washington; two daughters, Sharon L. Richards of Bentleyville and Judith D. Vargo of Washington; a brother, Melvin L. Ringer of East Finley; three sisters, Kathryn Hall and Wilma Wingrove, both of Washington and Ethel Morris of Taylorstown; 10 grandchildren, Norman "Chipper" Ringer III, Ricky Ringer Jr., Michelle, Monica, Shaunna and Joshua Ringer, Kristin and Julie Friend, Sam and Matthew Richards; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
