Frances M. Malinky, 79, of Bertram Street, Bentleyville, died Tuesday, March 3, 1998, at Washington Hospital. Mrs. Malinky was a graduate of Canonsburg High School and attended Penn Commercial in Washington. She worked for 34 years for Washington County in various offices at the courthouse. She last worked as chief collector for the courts. Mrs. Malinky was a member of Ave Maria Parish and the Pioneer Club, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Dolores 1675, both of Bentleyville and the Bentworth Senior Citizens. She served as past president for both the Bentworth Democrat Womens Club and the former Bentleyville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Malinky once served as fourth vice-president of the Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic women and was a former member of Bentleyville Lioness Club. She was currently serving on the Bentleyville Public Library Board of Trustees. On February 22, 1952, she married James Malinky, who died October 26, 1991. Surviving are a daughter, Rose Marie Zemencik of Canonsburg; three grandchildren, Dr. James Zemencik, Shari Gabriel and Teri Zemencik; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Loretta Romano of Canonsburg and Margaret Fabian of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
