Paul E. Kelley, 71, of Manchester Road, Middletown, Ohio, a resident of Washington until four years ago, died at 4:36 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 1998, in Kettering Medical Hospital, Dayton, Ohio, following a one-month illness. Mr. Kelley was a graduate of Trinity High School and was Protestant. He was employed as a pressman with the Observer-Reporter for 27 years and worked several years for Consolidated Coal Co. at Westland Mine before retiring. Mr. Kelley was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, served during both World War II and the Korean War. On May 14, 1946, he married Dolores Wilkins Kelley, who survives at home. Also surviving are two daughters, Sandra Diane McMullen of Middletown, Ohio, and Lisa Colleen Kelley at home; a brother, Clyde Kelley of Hickory; two sisters, Christine Bruckner of Washington and Violet M. Byers of Claysville; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott McMullen and Amy Lynette Powell; a great-grandson, Jordan Alexander McMullen; and 16 nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Terrance Paul Kelley; a sister, Helen L. Baumgardner; a brother, Dale Leon Kelley; and a niece, Carolyn Davidson.
