Edmund F. Sliman Sr., 77, of Helene Drive, Washington, died at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 1998, at Washington Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Sliman was Catholic. Prior to retirement, he had been employed at Washington Steel. He had previously been employed at Hazel Atlas Glass. He was a 1938 graduate of Washington High School and had served in the U.S. Navy Seabees in the Soloman Island Campaign during World War II. On June 7, 1943, he married Julia Gurney, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Edmund F. Sliman Jr. of Washington; two brothers, Robert J. Sliman and Thomas G. Sliman, both of Washington; a sister, Regina M. Sliman Livelli of Carnegie; two grandsons, U.S. Navy Ensign Joseph A. Sliman and 2nd Lt. James J. Sliman with the U.S. Air Force. Deceased are two brothers, John W. and Aldo J.
