A. Marie McClain, 70, of Second Street, Westland, died Thursday, March 5, 1998, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Mrs. McClain was a member of the First Baptist Church of Westland and was past president of the missionary board of the church. She had attended Hickory High School and had worked as a nurse's aide at Mayview State Hospital and the former Morganza in Canonsburg Her husband, James W. McClain, died March 20, 1980. Surviving are three sons, James R. McClain of Canonsburg, William McClain of Indianapolis, Ind., and Joseph McClain of Westland; three daughters, Charlene Davis of Canonsburg, Alice Washington of Westland and Vanessa Edmonds of Washington; two brothers, Harold Butler of Canonsburg and Joseph Butler of McDonald; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
