Sam Nick Pihiou, 69, of 416 Gladden Road, Canonsburg, died Friday, March 6, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospitals, Canonsburg. He was a lifelong resident of Canonsburg and a member of All Saint's Greek Orthodox Church. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Abex Corp. of Meadow Lands. Mr. Pihiou served in the United States Army with the tank battalion in Germany during the Korean conflict. Surviving are his wife, Despina Orphanos Pihiou; three brothers, Chris, George and Tony Pihiou, all of Canonsburg; two sisters, Freda Krithis of Los Angeles, Calif., and Marsha Georgakis of Aliquippa; and several nieces and nephews.
