Steve J. Kurilla Jr., 84, of 44 Cedar Street, Ellsworth, died at 10:59 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 1998, at Humbert Lane Nursing Center, Washington. In 1976, he retired after 43 years from Bethlehem Mines Corp. Mine No.51, Ellsworth. He was a member of UMWA and a past president of the former Sokol Club, Bentleyville. Mr. Kurilla was also a member of Ave Maria Parish/St. Clements Church in Ellsworth. Surviving are his wife, Ann Poyer Kurilla; a son, Donald Kurilla of Monongahela; a brother, Paul Kurilla of Fredericktown; two grandsons, John Kurilla of Pittsburgh and Matthew Kurilla of Monongahela; and a granddaughter, Beth Ann DeRocco of Monessen.
