William D. Sapp, 60, of Bentleyville, formerly of Strongstown, died at 5:45 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 1998, at Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness. On January 30, 1967, he married Alma Gay McElwee Sapp, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Steven and Joseph Sapp, both at home, William J. and Richard Sapp, both of Bentleyville; a daughter, Dianna Sapp Burgan of Bentleyville; 11 brothers, John Sapp of Jefferson, George Sapp of Princeton, W.Va., Bernard Sapp of New Florence, Harry Daniel Sapp of Rices Landing, Ray Ronald "Bud" Sapp Sr. of Bentleyville, Walter, Bobby, Jack, Jimmy, and Mark Sapp all of Point Marion, and Roger Sapp of Brownsville; two sisters, Shirley Sapp Shultz of Finleyville and Iva Lue Sapp Lewellen of Uniontown; seven grandchildren, Travis Jay Sapp, and James Wilbur Burgan Jr., Samantha Jo, Cassandra Lee, Jenny Jolene and Amber Lynn Sapp and Robin Leeann Burgan; and several nieces and nephews.
