Walter Zima, 67, of West Newton, died Wednesday, April 29, 1998, at his home. Mr. Zima was a lifelong farmer and was also employed at Highland Carbide Tool Co. in North Huntingdon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Mr. Zima was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in West Newton, honorary lifetime member of the West Newton Sportsman's Association and West Newton VFW Post 7812 since 1988. Surviving are his wife, Dolores Oblak Zima; a daughter, Merrie A. Zima; two brothers, Robert "Brownie" Zima of Hutchinson and Joseph Zima of West Newton. Deceased is a daughter, Valerie Lynn.
