Louis E. Templeton Jr., 78, of Indiana Street, Wheeling, W.Va., died Thursday, April 30, 1998, in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling. Mr. Templeton was a retired machinist for the former Blaw-Knox Foundry in Wheeling, retiring after 44 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Templeton was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Wheeling, a member and past master of Wheeling Lodge 5, AF&AM, the order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, a patron member of the Bridgeport Eagles Aerie 995, a member of the 25 year club of Blaw-Knox Foundry and past treasurer and member of the First English Lutheran Council. On April 24, 1943, he married Elsie Bertschy Templeton, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Louis E. Templeton III of Hickory; a daughter, Elsie Lou Sell of Wheeling; a sister, Grace Sample of Harlingen, Texas; five grandchildren, Thomas R. and Daniel S. Templeton, Matthew E., Marlena E. and Maressa L. Sell; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, Kenneth A. Templeton.
