Dolores C. Daugherty, 77, of Washington, died unexpectedly at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 1998, in Washington Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Daugherty was a homemaker and formerly attended First Christian Church of Claysville and The Lighthouse Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and was a scout master when her sons were young. On January 12, 1946, she married Thomas Lee Daugherty, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, David L. Daugherty and Gary A. Daugherty, both of Washington; three sisters, Ruby Wenzel of Brooklyn, Ohio, Elsie Thomas of Cleveland, Ohio, and Sarah Galvin of Parma, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Michelle Lea, Alisha, Joshua, Gary A. Jr. and David C. Daugherty, David Koss and Ernie Heinrich; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a grandson, Christopher Lee Daugherty; two brothers, Thomas and Grover Rupert Jr.; and a sister, Beulah Riccardi.
