Ann L. Fonner, 74, of Victoria Street, Washington, died Sunday, May 17, 1998, at her residence following a brief illness. A 1942 graduate of Trinity High School, Mrs. Fonner had been employed by the Washington School District for many years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers for many years. Mrs. Fonner enjoyed bowling with both the Nemacolin Bowling League and the Senior Citizens Bowling League. She also enjoyed being a seamstress as her hobby. On February 5, 1950, in St. Hilary Church, Washington, she married Francis G. Fonner of Washington. Surviving are two daughters, Donna Patrina of Washington and Mary Ann Goode of Williamsburg, Va.; four sisters, Zella Walker of Florida, and Frances Sisul, Dorothy Caffrey and Margaret Bebout, all of Washington; four grandchildren, Steven Amon, DeAnna Ritz, Christopher Goode and Ann Goode; and many nieces and nephews.
