William Borland McClure, 63, of Henderson Road, Washington, died Friday, May 15, 1998, in Washington Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. McClure was a member of Chartiers Crossroads Presbyterian Church, a graduate of Cecil Township High School and attended Texas Tech. He was employed as a machinist at Armco in Bridgeville. Mr. McClure had served in the Korean War in both the Atlantic and Mediterranean areas where he received the National Defense Medal and Good Conduct Medal. On July 25, 1987, he married Bonnie Faye Briggs Schaub, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Ronald Schaub of Washington; a daughter, Lora Lea Cowden of Avella; two grandchildren, Eric Cowden and Samuel Schaub; three sisters, Alice Chastel of Houston, Lois Meredith of Kingwood, Texas, and Jane Miller of Bay Village, Ohio; 14 nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. McCLURE - Friends of William Borland McClure of Henderson Road, Washington, who died Friday, May 15, 1998, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 18, with the Rev. David Robinson officiating. Interment in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
