Paul Kvartek, 77, of Ellsworth, died Thursday, May 21, 1998, at Humbert Lane Health Care Center, Washington. Mr. Kvartek was a member of Ave Maria Parish, Ellsworth, was a member of UMWA Local 1197, and was a member of Sokols. He was retired from BethEnergy Mine No. 51, Ellsworth. Surviving are a brother, Joseph Kvartek, of Ellsworth; and two sisters, Anna Palla of Ellsworth and Helen Matesek of Slovakia.
