Viola L. McCarty, 85, of Venetia, died May 13, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospitals, Canonsburg. Many of her friends in Nottingham Township remember her as the owner of a kennel called Puss N' Boots. Surviving is her sister, Rita Barnett of Grand Rapids, Mich. Deceased is her husband, James G.
