John A. Church, 68, of Lexington, Texas, formerly of Blacksville, W.Va., died Saturday, May 23, 1998, in Lexington. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum's Rockdale plant in March of 1992. He was an avid horseman and hunter, spending time in Colorado on trail rides and elk hunts. He was a member of the Lexington Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Carrie Church; four sons, John Wayne Church, Douglas Church, Jeff Church and Todd Church, all of Lexington; a brother, Vic Church of Spraggs; a sister, Loreen Kiger of Spraggs; and five grandchildren. Deceased are three brothers and one sister. Services were held Wednesday, May 27, at the First Baptist Church, Lexington. Burial was in the Lexington City Cemetery.
