Walter G. (Wally) Golembiewski, 61, of Uniontown R.D.6, died Sunday, May 3, 1998, at his home. He was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Republic. For 32 years, he was employed by Centerville Clinic as senior therapist, and for the past three years served as director of mental health. Mr. Golembiewski was a 1954 graduate of Redstone High School, a 1961 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania and a 1964 graduate of West Virginia University master's program in social work. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a past member of Republic Lions Club and the Uniontown Area School Board. He was past union president of OPEIU and was a member of AAMFT and NASW. He was active in the Brownsville Adult Lipsync program. Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Rosalie Magazine Golembiewski; a son, Jeffrey Golembiewski of Uniontown R.D. 6; two daughters, Carrie Golembiewski of Uniontown R.D. 6 and Maria Golembiewski of Republic; and four sisters, Josephine Rozak of New Salem R.D. 1, Margaret Kasper of Florissant, Mo., Gertrude Ulicne of Anderson, Ind., and Rosella Stefanowski of Harper Woods, Mich. Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a brother, Stephen Gallop; and two sisters, Regina Mazur and Dorothy Fusinski.
