James W. Pozum, 85, of Belle Vernon (Fairhope), died Saturday, May 2, 1998, in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. He was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church in Fayette City, Fairhope Rod and Gun Club, Slovaic Club, Naomi Club, Croation Club of Monessen and UMWA District 4. Surviving are a son, James Pozum Jr. of Belle Vernon (Fairhope); two daughters, Dorothy Rodgers of Washington and Lillian Laird of Belle Vernon; a sister, Anna Shelleby of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
