Robert Carson Cook, 69, of McDonald died Saturday, May 2, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospitals-Canonsburg. Mr. Cook was a 1946 graduate of McDonald High School. He served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by American Bridge Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1986. For 10 years, he also was a partner of Alco Auto Parts in McDonald. Mr. Cook was a former member of Masonic Lodge 604 in McDonald and was a member of United Steelworkers of America. He was active in McDonald Little League Baseball, Fort Cherry Little Rangers Football League and the Fort Cherry Quarterback Club. On July 23, 1955, he married Ruby J. Smith, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert C. Cook II of McDonald; a daughter, Darcy L. Kelly of McDonald; a sister, Helen Donaldson of McDonald; and five grandchildren, Ryan Carson, Danielle Nicole Cook and Brianne, Shannon and Shaun Kelly.
