Blanche M. Taucher, 95, of Burgettstown, died Monday, May 4, 1998, in Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, W.Va. In her earlier years, Mrs. Taucher had been employed by Petrucci's News Store in Burgettstown. On November 5, 1919, she married Dena P. Taucher, who survives and with whom she celebrated their 78th anniversary. Also surviving are two sons, Melvin Taucher of Aliquippa and Arthur Taucher of Eldersville; three daughters, Betty J. Tidball, Elsie Smith and Roberta "Sis" Slopek, all of Burgettstown; 25 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son, Donald Taucher, who died November, 1984; three brothers, Arnie, Roy and Lou Pease; and a sister who died in infancy.
