Marguerite C. Meddings, 88, of East Pike Street, Houston, died Monday, May 4, 1998, in the Greenery Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, Canonsburg. Mrs. Meddings was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Houston, where she had been involved with the Women's Association. She was a graduate of Canonsburg High School. On June 12, 1937, she married Charles G. "Lightning" Meddings, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Charles R. Meddings of Houston; a daughter, Jill Harshman of Houston; three grandsons, Robb M. and Kevin J. Meddings and Chad M. Roberts; two stepgrandchildren, Richard M. and Tiffany Harshman; and one great-grandson. Deceased are two sisters, Ida Mae McClain and Celia Seward.
