Mary Francetta Sickels, 64, died Friday, May 1, 1998, at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Bremerton, Wash., of a heart attack. Mrs. Sickels graduated from Lambson Business School, Phoenix, Ariz., with a certification in bookkeeping. She was married to Lewis D. Whorton from 1953 to 1956. On July 11, 1959, she married Walter B. Sickels in Wichita Falls, Texas. They moved to Houston, Pa., in 1967, where she remained until his death in 1984. She then moved in with her youngest daughter and her husband in Newport News, Va. Mrs. Sickels worked as a manager of a laundry in Newport News and in stocking at a department store in Hampton, Va., until moving to Waukegan, Ill., in 1988. Here she again worked as stocking/rewrap at the Venture Store until moving to Bremerton in 1992. Surviving are two daughters, Carol M. Wright of Portsmouth, Va., and Ida-May S. Hrouda of Bremerton; a brother, David Timmsen of Tonopa, Ariz.; and two grandchildren, Andrea M. Wright and Fredrick W. Hrouda; and numerous nieces and nephews. No services will be held. Inurnment will be performed at Washington Cemetery. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, or the American Red Cross Disaster Services.
