Shirley Ann Mariani, 54, of Washington, died Friday, May 8, 1998, in her home following a 15-month illness. Mrs. Mariani had worked for seven years at Brockway Glass Co.; was a hairstylist for 37 years; and was the owner of A Cut Above Salon and Spa in Washington. A graduate of Trinity High School, Mrs. Mariani was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints and was a founding member of the Greater Tylerdale Business Association. On April 10, 1982, she married Gary Mariani, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert P. Phillips of Washington; a daughter, Rhonda L. Steuernagel of Washington; four grandchildren, Melissa and Carlie Steuernagel and Robert and April Phillips; five stepchildren, Perry Presto of Washington, Kelley Owens of Anderson, Ind., Tina Douglas of Oklahoma City, Okla., Michael Mariani of Washington and Kimberly Mariani of Bridgeville; seven stepgrandchildren, Stacey and Jennifer Dollard, Nichole Presto, Joshua Presto, Shana and Jeremy Douglas and Amanda Smith.
