Andrew W. Hornick Jr., 87, of Scenic Drive, Coal Center, died at 6:50 p.m. Friday, October 30, 1998, at his home, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Hornick was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Daisytown. He was a retired steelworker from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel of Allenport where he was a millwright. He was formerly employed as a coal miner, auto mechanic and landscaper worker. Mr. Hornick was a member of West Pike Run Grange, United Steel Workers of America, BCR Lions Club, the Hungarian Club of Daisytown and the Center in the Woods Senior Citizens of California. He enjoyed hunting. On October 24, 1934, he married Eda Albenze Hornick, who survives and with whom he celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. Also surviving are a daughter, Janet Cottone of Coal Center; two sisters, Dorothy Ezzo of Cleveland, Ohio, and Ruth Trbovich of Homestead; a brother, Robert Hornick of Daisytown; four grandchildren, Andrea and Daniel Cottone, Deborah Todd and Rachel Hwang; and three great-grandchildren.
