Leslie "Bud" W. Bowland Jr., 74, of Cuddy, died Tuesday, November 10, 1998, in St. Clair Memorial Hospital, Mt. Lebanon. Mr. Bowland was Protestant. He was a retired coal worker and maintenance foreman for Matthews Coal Co. For 46 years, he was married to Mary Berthold Bowland, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, David A. Bowland of Washington and Charles Bowland of Ohio; two grandchildren, Charles Bowland and Tina Lowrie; and three great-grandchildren. Deceased is a sister, Elizabeth Dawson.
