John W. Donnan, 69, of Boca Raton, Fla., formerly of Carson City, Nev., died Tuesday, November 10, 1998, in Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, Fla., following a brief illness. Mr. Donnan was a graduate of East Washington High School and was previous owner and operator of D. J.'s RV Center in Carson City. During the Korean Conflict, he served in the U.S. Army and received the Purple Heart. On December 28, 1950, in Washington, he married Sara McIlvaine, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Alvan E. Donnan of Zephyr Cove, Nev., and Alexander Donnan of Crossville, Tenn.; a daughter, Dorothy Sandoval of Sparks, Nev.; a sister, Dorothy Duncan of Tucson, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
